The FSET Career Services team specializes in the Northcentral Region's labor market. Connections have been formed with local employers to facilitate opportunities for FSET customers. The team also works with labor market experts to gather the best information available about local trends in the NorthCentral Wisconsin region.

Counties served include: Adams, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas, and Wood.

FSET Employer Partner Spotlight


Sand Valley Golf Resort is a premier golf destination located between Nekoosa and Adams that opened in May 2017.  Situated among the beautiful prehistoric sand dunes of Central Wisconsin, guests have the opportunity to play on three world-class golf courses in addition to reveling in a full resort experience.  Adventure seekers can also enjoy various outdoor recreational activities throughout the year.   


The North Central FSET program has partnered with Sand Valley for job opportunities since April of 2021.  In this short period of time, 17 candidates from the FSET program have been referred to Sand Valley for employment, and over 53% of these candidates have accepted opportunities with them. 


Golf season primarily runs between May and October, which marks Sand Valley’s most busy hiring period While most positions with Sand Valley tend to be seasonal in nature, there are a small number of positions that are available year round. 


Working at Sand Valley allows for some extensive time outdoors.  Some of the positions during the busy golf season outside include Greens Keeper, Beverage Cart or Snack Bar Attendant, Junior Caddie, or Golf Outside Services Attendant.   


Inside the resort setting, Sand Valley is always looking for candidates to fill positions as Housekeepers, Servers, Front Desk Agents, Dishwashers, and Line or Prep Cooks.  A number of unique opportunities arise as well such as the Facilities Maintenance Technician.  In this role, candidates will be able to apply working knowledge in carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical skill sets.  


Sand Valley hires for full-time, part-time, and seasonal positions on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts Full-time seasonal positions that are 30 hours per week or more offer health insurance benefits If an employee works 10 or more months per year at 30 or more hours per week, they are offered full-time benefits Benefits include:  medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and 401k.
