Goodwill North Central Wisconsin (NCW) has been an FSET employer partner since fall 2021. FSET customers have come to know Goodwill NCW as an effective partner in advancing their employment and training goals, thanks to their inclusive culture and supportive team environment.

A secondhand store with a mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment, Goodwill NCW employs a variety of people throughout the north central Wisconsin region who have a goal of building job skills that lead to sustained employment and improved financial stability.

Goodwill Industries International was founded more than 120 years ago in Boston, and now boasts 3,200 stores in North American alone. In our NorthCentral FSET region, Goodwill NCW store locations include Rhinelander, Antigo, Weston, Rib Mountain, Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids, Stevens Point, and Plover. For those who live near one of these locations and are interested in applying, you may ask your case manager to assist you, or you may search the Goodwill NCW website, Jobs at Goodwill NCW | Goodwill NCW, for current openings in your area.

There are many benefits available to all team members working at Goodwill NCW, including:

  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer match

  • Free access to financial counseling, a health clinic and mental health counseling

  • Team member discounts

  • Paid volunteer time off

  • Annual $50 reimbursement for wellness-related expense

Additional benefits such as medical insurance, dental insurance, education reimbursement, paid time off and more are available to full-time team members. Explore all of the benefits of being a Goodwill NCW team member: Summary-of-benefits-with-eligibility.pdf (goodwillncw.org)

Goodwill NCW relies on generous community donations of clothing, household items, books, and more. The donation process is simple. Gather your items, check them over for quality (items for donation should be gently used), and then go to Goodwill to donate them. These donations in turn help someone find a job, strengthen the community and preserve the planet by diverting good, useful items from possibly going to a landfill and also reducing the need to create more, new products.

Employment at Goodwill NCW can be both a financial and educational growth opportunity for you and your family. If interested in joining their team, your FSET case manager, along with the FSET Career Services team, is ready and waiting to assist you in pursuing an opportunity with Goodwill NCW!
